Job Description
ENSCO Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Developer with an ACTIVE TS/SCI Clearance to lead business growth activities for ENSCO's Knowledge Management tools and development capabilities. ENSCO currently has a knowledge management tool developed in cooperation with the Air Force that synthesizes unstructured data and performs information analysis which allows Data Analysts to be more efficient. This candidate will lead the strategic planning to take this capability to the Intelligence Community. This will include developing the marketing strategy, internal investment plan, product marketing strategies, and tactical business development coordination. The successful candidate must have both technical and business development experience in the Intel Community and be able to lead multi-functional teams to win new business. The candidate will report directly to the Division Manager of the Strategic Business Development Division and will be an integral part of the strategic planning process of ENSCO's Intelligence markets. Extensive travel is required for this position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas:
-Leading the development and execution of the strategic business development plan for ENSCO's targeted Intel Markets.
-Identifying and/or creating then pursuing and winning new business.
-Developing, maintaining, and leveraging business relationships with current customers, primes, and subcontractors; this includes the creation and execution of detailed contact plans.
-Understanding and documenting customer organizations, budgets, programs, requirements and priorities.
-Leading the internal business development process that includes publishing pursuit/capture plans, holding Pursuit Reviews, facilitating Bid/No Bid decisions, and leading proposals.
-Managing the targets and budgets required for any outreach and promotional activities which may include advertising, trade shows and technical papers and publications.
-Assuring all Business Development activities are performed in a manner that is consistent with all applicable laws, regulations and ENSCO SOP's, and is consistent with ENSCO's reputation as a good partner and a quality source of technology-based products and services. Qualification Required
-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent.
-Minimum 10 years of closely related experience in Business Development working in the Intelligence community; including at least 3 years managerial experience.
-Demonstrated understanding of Business Development process from opportunity identification, qualification, pursuit, proposal development and post proposal through award.
-Technical understanding of how the Intelligence Community analyses and processes data and the tools that are currently used.
-Existing relationships in the Intelligence Community with the desire and ability to broaden the contact base to additional organizations of interest.
-Ability to move aggressively and independently into selected markets.
-Demonstrated ability to drive multiple initiatives to success in a timely manner.
-Skilled in developing internal and external partnerships and collaborative solutions.
-Experience developing value propositions with cost/benefit analysis for products and services.
-Experience developing pricing models for products, services and ongoing technical support.
-Experience responding to Request for Proposals.
-Experience working with technical teams to generate pricing and work scopes.
-Proven track record in achieving sales growth objectives.
-A self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Proven track record in Capture Management of new opportunities.

-Demonstrated past experience entering into and growing new markets.

Under the direction of Veronica Sherard, the SBD Division formulates and implements corporate-wide growth strategies based on a disciplined business acquisition process. In addition, SBD collaborates with business unit leadership to identify and pursue new opportunities at the division level. The business acquisition process leverages ENSCO's innovative technologies and proven track record of excellent customer service.
