Job Description
American Greetings has internship opportunities within our Supply Chain Management Division starting in June 2017 at headquarters in Cleveland. This is a ten-week, paid internship. Housing will be provided for individuals not originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area.

The Supply Chain intern will gain experience within one of the following functional areas of Supply Chain: Forecasting and Demand Planning, Supply and Inventory Planning, Program and Project Management, Programs Scheduling and Capacity Planning, Retail Inventory Management, Order Services, Global Sourcing. The intern will also be assigned specific project(s) that would include a formal presentation to management regarding findings at the conclusion of the internship. The projects provide a platform for the intern to demonstrate his/her analytical problem solving skills, organizational planning, leadership qualities and team work skills through cross-functional collaboration with AG partners. By experiencing first-hand the daily challenges of executing core business functions critical to the success of the Supply Chain, the intern will gain a broad understanding of how AG operates and gain comprehensive exposure to multiple areas within the organization including Merchant, Merchant Operations, and various Supply Chain teams. Based on performance, the goal of this internship is to identify high potential candidates for full time employment within the Supply Chain Management Division upon graduation.

Experience Required:
0-3 years of prior retail / consumer product experience in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical. Demonstrated Leadership abilities on or off campus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytics, problem solving and math skills
- Ability to demonstrate proficient communication and interpersonal skills while interacting with peers and management
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to grasp problems quickly
- Strong PC skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Access preferred

Rising Senior (will consider rising Junior s on an exception basis)
