The Administrative Coordinator will support the operational leaders of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper that directly manage the day to day operations of the institute. The ideal candidate is proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suites as well as routine office duties such as scheduling, coordinating, and preparation for meetings and events. General familiarity with travel and calendar coordination, reimbursement, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and EPIC experience is also a must.
This candidate must process articulate communications skills (both written and oral), manage the flow of information and have the ability to work independently and with multiple cross functional teams (both clinical and non-clinical). The Administrative Coordinator must be comfortable engaging with all levels of staff and leadership and to understand the difference.
The ideal candidate for this position must possess strong customer service ethics for both internal and external customers of the CCI. He/she should be able to manage multiple priorities, multi-task on various time-sensitive and sometimes competing interests at once. This candidate should be able to sense the pulse and culture of the institute and to easily navigate throught various departments. The Administrative Coordinator will handle sensitive and confidential information pertaining to both patients and internal stakeholders; discretion is a must.
The Administrative Coordinator will perform small to mid level projects that range in complexity that will have direct institution wide impact. Light project management knowledge and experience would greatly improve the candidates opportunity for professional growth.
Scheduled Days / Hours: M- F 8-4:30;
Associates Degree required, Bachelors preferred
5 years directly related experience.
Experience in Healthcare setting, medical practice or academic medical center. Past transferrable business related skills are a plus. General knowledge-base of revenue cycle, marketing and operations are highly recommended
