Job Description

The Advanced Practice Nurse at McLean Southeast is responsible for completing the initial admission work-up of assigned patients and providing a plan of care on the inpatient unit. The supervising psychiatrist will review all information and orders with the APRN. Provides comprehensive assessment of patients current health and indication for psychopharmacological interventions.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Masters degree from an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse in the Advanced Practice role. ANA certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Certification as either a Clinical Specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing or as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Minimum of 24 months experience working as a staff nurse in an adult psychiatric setting or related experience.

Conditions of Employment

Employment at McLean Hospital is contingent upon a successful CORI (Criminal Background Check), National Background Check and clearance from the Occupational Health Department.
