Welcome to Dirty Habit -- Guests will contemplate the fate that leads them through the burnished golden door of Washington's new Dirty Habit restaurant and bar, debuting this Fall. Contrasting the classical architecture of the original 1841 General Post Office in Penn Quarter, this gritty, high-energy restaurant and bar will feature an expansive atrium and a private patio encompassed by an entire city block, located across the street from the Verizon Center. Our mission is to be the best loved Hotel & Restaurant Company so regardless of position, we look for individuals who are passionate about providing genuine heartfelt care to our guest and employees. What you get to do: The Host or Hostess's basic function is to provide the guests, either on the phone or in person, with information and support in a professional and gracious manner. Your day-to-day include the following: Other duties may be assigned. * Provide fair and consistent seating of guests. * Receive and record reservations by phone or in person. * Accurately handle paperwork. * Receive incoming calls. * Take room service calls and orders (if necessary). * Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness. * Assist in bussing tables as needed. * Maintain a clean podium. * If any orders are "carry-out", package and check-out (if necessary) * Stock host/hostess stand. * Refill beverages as business demands. * Provide information to guests as requested. * Perform other restaurant and customer service related requests to guests.
