ANALYST 3 -APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT - NMP NUCLEAR STATION

Job Summary:
An Analyst 3 - Application Development is responsible for all aspects of designing, developing, deploying and maintaining applications on multiple types of computer hardware and operating systems at Constellation Energy (CEG) and affiliate companies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (*essential job functions)
Gathers information, analyzes requirements and business processes and information systems of a more complex nature. Develops and confirms project specifications and may provide assistance to less experienced personnel.
Works independently to develop practical, workable, cost-effective solutions to business problems to satisfy client requirements. Provides assistance/mentors less experienced personnel and advises on technology choices.
Actively participates in the management and optimization of computing resources.
May coordinate activities of the project team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs. Takes action to stay on schedule and maintain costs.
Acts as a source of direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff.
Effectively researches, analyzes, and identifies current and emerging technology trends/products/concepts that can improve the teams or clients business process.

In-depth understanding of business unit needs to provide optimal IT support within their functional area.

Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
Minimum 4 years related technology experience.
At least 4 years of related experience in a corporation of comparable size and complexity, including at least 2 years specialized experience in related field.
