JOB DESCRIPTIONDESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
FULL TIME MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school. Must have three (3) years experience in the field of nursing and one (1) year of supervisory experience. Must have a valid license as a registered nurse in Florida. Must be certified in CPR. Must be able to effectively perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI) with appropriate training and Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families. Must be able to use a computer. And Must have a valid driver's license in the state in which you reside. Must be insurable under LCI's automobile plan. Must be able to travel locally to client's homes, training locations and other locations as necessary. Must be eligible to participate in state or federally funded programs such as Medicaid.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Perform nursing acts, functions, or tasks under the delegation and supervision of a medical doctor. Act as a lead direct care provider to others in the division/program. Provide oversight and guidance to LPNs and/or Behavior Technicians, and ensure staff adhere to agency protocols. Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following agency s philosophies and standards of care, as well as the standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations. Conduct case staffings with other direct care providers in division/program, provide case specific consultation and professional insight as deemed necessary, and assist other staff in coming up with appropriate treatment and services for their individual clients. Develop and coordinate nursing care plan with treatment plan in service delivery. Monitor and observe clients for co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, respond appropriately. Appropriately monitor and respond to clients medical and behavioral health condition(s). Assist patients with their needs, as appropriate. Scheduling of assigned staff, payroll and timekeeping duties. Assist with Interviewing, selecting, and training and supervision of assigned staff. Assist Director Of Nursing with annual staff evaluations. In collaboration with Director Of Nursing, provide initial counseling and disciplinary actions to assigned staff for policy violations, inappropriate actions, and poor performance.
