EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

BSN required with a Master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, finance, business, or a related field with a minimum of ten (10) years progressive leadership experience in a large, complex health care system.

JOB DUTIES
-------------------------
1.In collaboration with CNO, identifies and articulates the vision and strategic direction for the discipline of Nursing and leads process of implementation of strategies to achieve them.
2.Provide executive nursing leadership of assigned scope of responsibility in collaboration with CNO/CNE. Execute long and short term strategies to support nursing and organizational priorities
3.Collaborate with service line/departmental leadership in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and services, assuring appropriate resources for the delivery of care.
4.Establish metrics to assess and measure progress toward goals. Report progress within the organizational structure as well as the nursing shared governance structure.
5.Promote and foster a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, and the coordination of care among disciplines.
6.Assist CNO in assuring that the patient care delivery model(s), clinical and staffing standards for nursing are consistent with current research and professional standards and with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
7.Oversee the implementation and application of policies, programs and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all applicable standards.
8.Serve as role model to leaders, staff and community partners promoting service excellence, quality outcomes and financial efficiency.
9.Fosters a patient-care culture that emphasizes patient safety and excellence in all aspects of care working collaboratively with the medical staff and medical staff leadership to ensure the highest quality patient care.
