Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Proficiency with test and calibration equipment (Multi-meter, SPL meter, etc.)
* Preform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain a stable client based system
* Maintain and clean AV equipment (Camera lenses, Display screen (Monitors), projectors, equipment fans, etc.)
* Equipment delivery and associated responsibilities
* Responsible for documentation as needed (Preventative maintenance checklist, hardware and software change logs, room asset archives)
* Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools
* Field installation of control programs, software, and firmware (AMX/Extron/Crestron/Biamp) upload, download, and archive capability
* Perform service tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner. Such tasks include but are not limited to: cable management, repair AV connectors, projector hanging (ceiling mounts), etc.
* Assist in new technology beta-testing
* Assist upper level service technicians as needed
* Mentor less-experienced technicians
* Work directly with AV service management

Abilities and Skills:

* Ability to test integrated systems and train end-users

* Positive and effective interaction with internal and external customers

* Ability to setup/troubleshoot Video Codec s (Tandberg/Cisco/Polycom)

* Ability to initiate and troubleshoot WebEx calls for and with end-users

* Ability to diagnose complex AV control system issues

* Ability to solder & crimp connectors using pinout guidelines (DB9/XLR/RJ45/RJ11/Coaxial)

* Ability to think and work independently & meet necessary deadlines

Ability to work overtime as required

* Working knowledge of enterprise IT networks

Adhere to and understand InfoComm industry standards for all phases of the job

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, crawl under tables, etc. This position will have physical demands.

Required Experience

* Candidate must complete all training requirements for this position within the current allowable established timeframe
* Minimum of 3 years AV industry experience (Preferred)
* CTS certification (Preferred)
* AMX/Harman module training (Preferred)
