UCLA s Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, in conjunction with the Center for Autism Research and Treatment (CART) and the Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC) within the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, seeks a full-time entry- or mid-level academic child and adolescent psychiatrist to participate in growing autism and intellectual/developmental disability related research and clinical programs. Responsibilities for the position will combine independent and collaborative research, teaching and supervising duties, and direct clinical care in our re-organized and expanding ASD and ID/DD-related outpatient clinical programs. A faculty appointment in either the academic in-residence or clinician-teacher series will be considered, depending on the interests and prior experience of the individual. Prior clinical and research accomplishments including postdoctoral training; expertise in ASD and ID/DD diagnosis and treatment; research treatment, phenotyping, and biomarker investigation, or other specialized research or clinical skills will be considered as added qualifications. Candidates must possess a MD degree, be board-certified or board-eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry, qualify for a faculty appointment at UCLA, and must possess or be eligible for a permanent California medical license.
