font size='2' b Position Summary /b BR The Accommodation Specialist is responsible for either or both host family recruitment and with student placement and housing changes. The Accommodation Specialist works closely with the Customer Service team to confirm housing and to make quick and accurate changes to housing information in the KIC database (CLASS). The Accommodation Specialist is responsible for providing a quantity and variety of host family and residential accommodation options to our students and manages occupancy rates to maximize profit for KIC while providing adequate inventory for our Sales/ Customer Service teams. BR BR b Key Job Responsibilities /b BR -Demonstrate dedication, respect, cooperation, motivation, innovation, commitment to quality, excellence, and customer service towards staff, students, and management
-Recruit, screen, and process new host families, and make all accommodation placements in accordance with company procedures
-Communicate in a timely manner with Customer Service teams, agents and students regarding timely and accurate reporting of placements, changes, and issues
-Orient and counsel students regarding their host family, dormitory, and residence or apartment placements; coordinate with staff (residence/ dorm management, residential advisors (RAs), apartment managers, etc) to ensure proper student arrival procedures, quality capacity, etc.
-Provide support, counseling and community outreach to host families, and keep them abreast of information relative to their student(s)
-Oversee school record-keeping regarding host families, forward payment requests to financial department, and maintain accurate accounting in a timely manner
-Conduct community outreach activities to publicize the program and expand its focus
-Responsible for residence hall placements; work closely with RAs, if applicable
-Assist in the mediation of housing disputes; advise, counsel, and guide international students
-Keep housing placement records current
-Manage occupancy rates for guaranteed bed options, if applicable
-Provide information for students regarding personal needs and respond to general inquiries about housing options
-Advise new and current students on courses and services
-Schedule and oversee the airport greeter service; work closely with vendors to ensure excellent service to our students
-Ensure immediate and timely response to emergency issues, including after-hours on-call duty
-Participate in and/ or lead activities as assigned, if available
-Liaise with national operations team to ensure alignment with national standards
-Work with counterparts in other KIC Schools to share best practices BR BR
b Minimum Qualifications /b BR -Bachelors Degree or equivalent
-1-2+ years in a business or operational setting;
-Experience with database systems and processes
-Ability to work evenings and weekends
-Must be authorized to work in the United States BR BR b Preferred Qualifications /b BR -Prior experience with international students
-One or more foreign language ability /font
