Commerce Bank is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual for a Account Administrator Assistant opportunity. As an Account Administrator Assistant, you will:

- Perform tasks in support of multiple account administrators and officers related to the proper management of municipal bond obligations

- Handle funds, execute transactions as directed, facilitate cash movement, including distributions; all transactions involve considerable sums of money

- Provide on-going support for regulatory and compliance activities

- Be responsible collecting, tracking, organizing and tabulating complex data from multiple sources; data will be used by the incumbent and the positions supported to properly administer a large portfolio of relationships

- Have direct contact with customers, finance professionals and third parties

- Interact with trust operations units, bond processing unit, billing unit and other support groups

- Handle complex inquiries by phone, Internet and written correspondence

- Identify problems and make decisions on how to find solutions

- Exercise independent judgment and take action under supervision of account administrators

- Pay close attention to large amounts of complex detail and manage multiple complex tasks

Actions of the Account Administrator Assistant have a direct impact on high level and sensitive customers. Performance of this position directly impacts the department's ability to properly administer relationships and maintain customer satisfaction.

Work Hours: Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)

Education: College degree related to finance, economics, accounting, business or city planning/management preferred

Preferred applicants will have:

- Advanced skills using spreadsheets, databases and word processing programs

- Experience in developing applications with these types of programs

- Ability to effectively communicate with the positions supported, peers, finance professionals and customers

- Work experience in a financial environment
