JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview:

The Account Director functions as the main client relationship manager of Agency consumer promotion and shopper marketing program deliverables within multiple categories or retail channels. The ideal candidate must be able to quickly immerse him or herself in the clients business and build solid relations within the Brand. The candidate will be the voice of Shopper and must have the confidence to navigate stakeholders and priorities to influence Brand strategy. They will consistently identify and activate opportunities to build the Brands business.

A successful Account Director will focus on financial health of the client, organic business development, effective and efficient program management of the Agency team and results that are in concert with client and retailer initiatives. Proficiency in conceptual selling and consulting will be defined by effective written and oral communication skills with clients, customers, and agency partners.

Responsibilities and Desired Skills:

Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years shopper/retail marketing experience at a creative agency. CPG, eCommerce/Digital, Beauty Healthcare experience in a leadership role ideal.

Demonstrate strong strategic planning skills including the ability to first understand a client's business needs then develop and apply appropriate marketing solutions

Develop and provide strategy for specified business Partner with digital counterparts for potential integrated opportunities

Develop, investigate and initiate opportunities and partnerships

Shape concepts into programs

Provide continuous communication with client and agency management

Evaluate product quality on an ongoing basis

Demonstrate strong logistical skills such as scheduling, budgeting, media planning, as well as have a solid understanding of the creative & production process

Write a creative brief with appropriate benefit and support elements

Expertise in Shopper Marketing and/or national consumer promotions
