JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Digital Account Director supports the Group Account Director s accountability for client program revenue. This position maintains client retention (60%) and growth (40%); upholds MXM standards of excellence for all content marketing products and services with a focus on digital experience and execution. The Account Director nurtures strong client partnerships built on quality, customer service and trust. This position interfaces with clients, MXM team members, MXM sister companies, senior management and partner agencies to ensure that MXM products and services meet or exceed client expectations. The incumbent oversees internal and external resources to provide clients with seamless service and high-performance products.
Essential Job Functions
40% Expands existing programs and/or generates new programs by leveraging client relationships, client feedback, program measurement, new products/services or unmet needs.
20% Initiates and manages processes related to pricing, invoicing and budgets; obtains Group Account Director s approval. Supports the Group Account Director in developing new or renewal contracts.
20% Directs the development of the creative brief by aligning with client on program objectives. Manages internal and external processes, assesses resources and confers with Group Account Director.
20% Interfaces with clients, MXM team members, sister companies, partner agencies and Meredith peers to ensure projects are on target with objectives, budget and schedule. Intercedes between client and team for issues related to changes in project scope, budget or strategic creative direction.
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Minimum seven years experience in digital account management, account planning, advertising or marketing.
Past CPG, retail, food experience preferred. Must be able to oversee a multi-platform, multi-channel client account as well as have a high-level understanding of the processes and workflows required.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Solid understanding of marketing, measurement and program management.
Solid understanding of creative processes for all platforms (digital, online, print, social, email, ecrm)
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to manage direct reports and nurture growth and career paths.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must possess ability to translate vision into tactical steps within a project.
Must possess exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience or category knowledge for assigned client preferred..
