The State and Local Government sales organization has an immediate opening for a Business Intelligence Account Executive who will focus on sales to Georgia Government agencies. Your responsibilities will consist of executing on strategies and best practices that will create new business revenue by targeting the State of Georgia. The responsibilities will also include selling Government solutions, SAS services, and SAS software to Georgia Government by developing and executive Legislative and Executive branch strategies with SAS resources and consulting resources. SAS products include a portfolio of Business Intelligence Products (Data Integration, Data Cleansing, Data Warehousing, Reporting and Advanced Analytics); developing and selling business solutions that meet customers' needs; executing proven sales/marketing tactics and programs in order to meet or exceed assigned territory objectives; identifying, qualifying and disqualifying prospective agencies within the State of Georgia to build the appropriate funnel portfolio in order to meet or exceed assigned territory objectives; developing and executing a territory marketing plan including a territory management plan; managing customer and prospect accounts to achieve expedient purchase decisions and to assist customers with problem resolutions; identifying and calling on all levels of an organization from a ground-level technician to senior agency heads/elected officials/ \\"C\\" level executives; demonstrating your ability to utilize your contacts to leverage access to a client, prospect or partner in order to gain access and to move opportunities forward; and performing other duties as assigned.



Essential Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative field of study with:

* 5 years of experience in a position with increasing responsibility within State and Local Government or 5 years of experience selling software solutions

* Ability to travel at least 50% of the time or as business needs require

* Southeast Work Location: Atlanta, GA; Cary, NC; greater Georgia area

Equivalent Essential:

* Associate's degree in the same fields with an additional 2 years of the stated essential qualifications or a high school diploma (GED) with an additional 4 years of the stated essential qualifications

Additional:

* Proven track record of government or sales performance,

* Knowledge of government or sales best practices, strategies, and techniques;

* Experience influencing or selling into State and/or Local Government;

* Knowledge of State and Local Government legislative and executive cycles and buying influences;

* Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan;

* Ability to communicate technical and business concepts and relate them to SAS System applications and user needs;

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

* Ability to travel.

Preferences:

* Senior Enterprise Software Selling Experience in the Analytics, Business Intelligence, Health Care markets or

* Experience working in State Government

* Experience selling software to GA State Government Agencies.

* Experience working with the strategic business partners, and the systems integrator community

* MBA
