The Account Manager for Japanese OEM's (Toyota, Subaru, and Hino) will maintain current business and maximize/expand sales to responsible account by cultivating a strong customer relationship. (Customer contact will be mainly specialist/buyer). Sales Planning- Budget/Mid term plan lead & resolve customer issues of commercial and delivery/quotation, price negotiation, annual cost down activity, support technical exhibition etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Serve as the main contact to the buyer level at each customer location while working to support overall account activities and objectives.
-Work to have clear understanding of customer objectives and requirements. Support both internal and external customers in their efforts to resolve open matters when applicable.
-Lead and/or support negotiations with customers for pricing/quantity/due date for MP parts, Pre-SOP trial events, and Prototype.
-Create and submit quotations for new and existing product which are subject to the manager approval. Will require coordination with internal departments as well as overseas parent company counterpart(s).
-Work internally with engineering or other departments to capture ECI change points to understand potential cost impact to implement. Work with customer to negotiate pricing.
-Support sales department activities related to APR (Annual Price Review) which includes data preparation and management, customer negotiations, RFQ entry and PO review.
-Create sales budget plan and analyze the difference between budget and last forecast. Determine the logical cause for the variation and report to manager & above.
-Oversee/Support DSP (Direct Supply Parts) process along with Sales Operations Analyst which may include reviewing forecast, submitting orders to DSP partners, monitoring shipment/receipt status, support accounting department efforts to reconcile payments.
-Coordinate tooling payment collection efforts with customer and internal departments. Maintain tooling asset process and prepare necessary documentation for invoicing.
Lead cost recovery activities for matters such as packaging reimbursement, obsolescence, special activities, etc.
-Maintain good relationship with customers and gather intelligence and information related to company products/services as well as competitors.
-Prepare and conduct product presentations and demonstrations in coordination with APP and Engineering Dept.
-Serve as a liaison between the customer and the company manufacturing plant to help resolve abnormal issues as they may arise. This includes but is not limited to delivery problems, sharp fluctuations in orders/forecast, end of life issues, etc.
-Support weekly forecast efforts to ensure accurate and relevant data is being provided in a timely manner to production control and manufacturing to ensure on-time-delivery, inventory efficiency, and quality (Some negotiation internally & externally may be required at times.)
-Minimum Bachelordegree (BSEE or BSME is preferred).
-Automotive product experience background is preferable.
-Permanent residence certification is required if residence in other country.
-PC literacy with word processing and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, etc.
-Flexible and easy to work with in a team oriented environment.
-Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently.
