Our client is a leading international manufacturer of cellulose, fibrous and plastic casings for the food and sausage industry. They also convert a line of films (mono & coex) as well as bags and pouches. All products are used primarily for Meat and Poultry applications.. Domestic headquarters is in Kenosha, WI with U.S.sales approaching $100MM.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for all sales within the geographic region that includes Virginia/West Virginia and northward along the coast through the mid-Atlantic States and up into New England and extending westward into Ohio. Existing volume in this region is approximately $10MM in 2016. Candidates can live anywhere within the territory confines. However, the most central location would be in and around Philadelphia. Large pockets of existing & prospective customers exist in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and in Central Ohio. Travel is estimated at 50% (2 nights/week, maybe 3 nights some weeks). Reports to the Director of Eastern Sales.

While client converts and sells films, pouches and bags, they are a minor factor in providing the major meat and poultry producers with these products. Client sells most of this type of product to the smaller sausage houses who like to get their casings and packaging from a single source of supply. Casings (Fibrous, plastic, cellulose) are their primary product and major customers would include Dietz & Watson, Thuman, Boars Head, Kunzler (PA) and Freshmark (OH) in the meat segment as well as Jenny-O, Cargill, Perdue and Tyson's in the poultry segment. All these companies use Client's casings.

- 4 year degree - Food Science, Business, Other
- 15 - 20 years experience selling packaging related products to the meat & poultry industries.
- Sales to the sausage industry highly preferred.
- willing/eager to travel 2-3 nights/week - by air & auto
- likes people - helping customers - good account manager
- time management of major importance
- Product/Applications Development types with sales personality a possibility

Clients' customer base is well-established. Targets are well-known. This position is that of an Account Manager who creates client satisfaction through exceptionally good service resulting in volume increase. Last two hires were R&D (Product Development) folks with a good sales personality. They are both doing well.

Salary in the low 90's with a 20% bonus potential. Bonuses average 10-15% and relate solely to personal goal achievement. Auto furnished. Excellent benefits plan.
