Special Situation Funds with over $10 billion AUM, credit investment / middle-market lending / loan originations. (Fund is part of large alternative investments platform)
$75K - $125K Base + Bonus
Accountant / Corporate Finance Analyst part of a finance / investment team responsible for the fund accounting, corporate finance / lending research, financial reporting and investor relations.
Assist with all accounting responsibilities within the quarterly and annual reporting cycles
* Update and reconcile internal investment and accounting systems to Administrator
Regularly review cash and position reconciliations provided by Administrator and clear any discrepancies
Support treasury and cash management operations
Assist with various compliance reports (e.g., credit facility, BDC/RIC)
Assist with quarterly valuation process, including coordinating with investment and corporate finance teams
Assist with fund expense reporting and analysis
Develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes
Identify and help solve for critical accounting and reporting issues
Interface as necessary with external auditors and service providers
Manage and perform special projects and analysis for senior management, including ad hoc modeling, strategic transaction analysis and capital raising (debt and equity)
Assist with quarterly earnings presentations and monthly Board updates, ratings agency and lender presentations
4+ years accounting experience - combination of public accounting (audit, translational services (valuations) or tax) and corporate finance / private equity or Asset Based Lending, Business Development (BDC) Registered Investment Corps experience.
Familiarity with fund administration, and general ledger systems
Middle Market; Discount Cash Flows, Financial Modeling, Valuations (Corporate Finance)
Strong accounting and excel skills, (CPA or equivalent) prior public accounting
Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practices
