Accountant/Cost Accountant I - Precision Technologies, a division of Benchmark Electronics, Inc. US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. Please no agencies or recruiters. Our customers are leading Original Equipment Manufacturers who require exacting precision mechanical production capabilities. Our product lines include the, Aerospace, Healthcare Scientific Instrumentation, and complex electro-mechanical equipment. Our Capabilities Include: * Precision CNC 5-Axis Milling and Turning * Precision 5-Axis Grinding of Aerospace Turbine Engine Nozzles and Blades * Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) NADCAP approved * Complex Electro-Mechanical assembly and test (Class 1K & 10K clean room) * Functional testing and Medium to Large Coordinate Measuring Capabilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Responsibilities * Records and maintains entries in the general ledger and ensures sub-ledgers are reconciled to the general ledger. * Compiles and contributes to or generates Corporate/Internal monthly financial statements and other related financial reports. * Ensures compliance with Corporate reporting requirements. * Analyzes and recaps preliminarily various balance sheet and expense accounts. * Assists in the preparation of documentation package of customer pricing of material, direct labor and engineering efforts. * Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with program management, operations, purchasing and accounting functions. * Participates in the preparation of forecasts and reports for cost, sales, income, bookings, backlog, manpower, material and other related data. * Prepares information to be used in the development and monitoring of departmental labor and expense budgets. * Prepares customer pricing packages of material, direct labor and engineering efforts for program personnel, company management and customers. Essential Functions * Effective organization, prioritization and interpersonal skills. * Completes projects in a timely manner. * Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required. * Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, good judgment, and professionalism when representing the company. * Excellent written and verbal communications including presentation skills. * Works well as an individual or on teams. * Able to travel as required. * Participates in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Summary Provides financial analytical support by collecting, compiling and assisting in the preparation of various reports for customer pricing, accounting and profitability analyses. May also assist in coordinating and/or performing some aspects of the General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Fixed Assets and Expense Account Analysis functions within the Finance department.
0~2 years related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment; must have working knowledge of spreadsheet applications; Bi-Lingual (Spanish) desirable
Education 4 year Accounting/Finance degree
