Cape Fox is seeking an experienced Accountant with solid
federal government contractor (multiple subsidiaries)
accounting experience. Deltek / Costpoint or GCS Premier
experience is also required. Strong background in
revenue recognition is required.
The Accountant will assist in the daily operations of
the Financial Management of the Company and participate
with the monthly closings, accounts payable and
receivable processing, assist with the preparation of
the monthly profit and loss statements, and maintain
balance sheet schedules and subsidiary ledgers, as well
as assist management with various special projects as
needed and directed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Perform monthly bank, merchant, and investment
Reconcile, adjust and maintain balance sheet accounts
such as prepaid expense, petty cash, other assets and
Compile, enter and post monthly adjusting journal
Responsible for assisting with functions for payroll
monthly journal entries and reconciling monthly reports
Responsible for the coding and submission of invoices as
directed by the Controller or Accounting Manager
Assist with closing the books and in producing monthly
Profit and Loss statements
Assist in the preparation audit schedules and work
closely with the auditors to ensure the completion of a
Assist with Accounts Receivable and Payable work load as
Interact with Accounting Manager on daily basis and
assist on special projects or contracts as directed
A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is required;
a successful applicant will have (4) four or more years
in cost accounting functions. It is desired to have
strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with high skill
functioning level of Excel Spreadsheets and other
various accounting software. Experience with Deltek /
Costpoint or GCS Premier is required. Experience with
federal government contractor accounting is required.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as
