Job Description

span An established construction firm in Manhattan is seeking an experienced Accountant to join on their finance team.  The firm is currently expanding it's North American operations, creating new opportunities for growth and advance in the Accounting, Internal Audit and FP&A divisions. The firm boasts newly renovated offices overlooking the Manhattan skyline and full benefits package. The firm is looking for a direct hire candidate, paying between B $65,000 and $80,000 /B , depending on experience. br   br B Responsibilities /B br ul
li Review construction invoices, purchase orders, and contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment /li li Participate in cost analysis of past, current, and upcoming projects /li li Assist regional accounting manager with budgeting and variance analysis activities /li li Maintain the fixed assets roster for all projects and properties /li li Prepare journal entries /li li Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end (May) closing processes /li li Participate in special analysis projects and on-site fixed asset audits as needed /li /ul
  br B Qualifications: /B br ul
li Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction Management /li li At least two to three years general accounting experience /li li Commercial construction experience is a preferred /li li Intermediate excel proficiency /li li Strong attention to detail /li /ul
