Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation is seeking highly motivated professionals to join our Accounting team at our Poughkeepsie, NY headquarters.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related degree; 2-3 years’ Public Accounting experience with one of the Big Four or Mid-size Accounting Firms; Good working knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and current on FASB pronouncements; Strong computer skills, including a high level of proficiency with MS Word and Excel; CPA a plus; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities include: Completion of complex accounting transactions, preparation of internal and external financial reports including required regulatory filings; researching, interpreting and implementing new accounting and reporting standards in accordance with FASB/SEC requirements; performing financial studies, analyses, research projects and budgeting.
