Job Description

Position Description:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for processing employee expenses and office equipment expenses. They are also responsible for providing the Accounting Team assistance with all of their administrative needs, i.e. filing, mailings, etc.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Processes employee expense reports on a weekly basis
• Processes equipment logs for copiers, field instruments, company trucks, etc. on a weekly basis
• Sets up clients and projects in accounting software (Clearview)
• Assists Billing Coordinator with client billings and mailings
• Assists the Accounts Payable Coordinator with processing invoices and disbursements
• Prepare and track subcontract agreements and corresponding exhibit a’s (work orders)
• Other administrative duties as required and directed by CFO

Essential Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Experience working in an office environment

Desired Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related area
• Any Accounting experience
• Work experience with an engineering or professional services background

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Exhibits excellent professional ethics
• Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, stay focused
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat

Essential Position Requirements:
• Ability to work additional and/or nonstandard office hours, as required
