JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Growing companies in San Diego are seeking Accounting Clerks and Junior Accountants for their accounting and tax service departments. These positions will be an integral member to the companies, working closely with both internal staff and management, as well as clients and service providers to meet core business objectives. Job Requirements: The positions requires a full time commitment (40+ per week). In addition, the qualified candidate must have related experience and an educational background supportive of the job qualifications and responsibilities listed below. Job Qualifications and Responsibilities: Ability to multi task, exercise discretion and judgment and perform under pressure. Participate in month end close process utilizing Quickbooks including: bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, expense accruals, fixed asset reporting. Responsible for check writing and accounts payable functions. Responsible for invoicing, cash receipts posting, collections and other accounts receivable functions. Responsible for the facilitation and preparation of balance sheet schedules and other workpapers. Responsible for frequent communications with clients at all levels. Preparation of month-end journal entries and GL account reconciliations Responsible for coordinating with off-site accounting clients to complete month-end processes timely. Responsible for meeting budgeted time requirements on a per client basis. Client payroll processing. Timely and accurate submission of internal weekly time sheets for billing Ad-hoc projects as assigned. Highly Preferred Educational Background: Bachelor??s degree or higher in Accounting from an accredited university Preferred Experiential Background: 2-5 years related work experience (skills test will be administered as part of candidacy process) Knowledge of QuickBooks Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with payroll processing Strong understanding of accounting, analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience with Lacerte a plus Superior work ethic Proactive attitude with ability to problem solve Team player mentality Highly organized with strong attention to detail Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary Able to pass background check, including DMV and credit
