Summary:The Accounting Manager is responsible for the capability, quality and performance of the accounting team. Essential Functions/ Responsibilities: Preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule and in accordance with all relevant standards (such as US GAAP), laws and regulationsConsolidation of financial statements of US holding and subsidiaries Invoicing and management of receivables; determination of terms, credit limits and collectionVendor relations and management of an efficient payment processCash management and forecastingManagement of payrollManage preparation of tax returns with outside tax advisorsManage financial and tax audits (income tax, sales and use tax, etc.)Risk detection, analysis, measurement and mitigationMaintaining and continuously strengthening internal controlsStaff development: mentor, coach, and develop staffBest practices: Lead and/or contribute on initiatives to improve business performance Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Required Education / Experience Requirements: Candidates must have 10-15 years of solid accounting and leadership experience.Must have experience working in multi-currency reporting and with transactional and translational currency reportingAt least basic knowledge of IFRSCPA and BA requiredMicrosoft OfficeSAP knowledge a must MBA a plus TM1 and Magnitude reporting tools beneficial Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Work Environment: This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Travel:Some international travel will be required to Toronto and Paris based Group Headquarters.
