li Supervise the daily operation of special fund accounting functions for Students Activities and Athletics, Scholarships and Student Aid (Title IV),Grants Current Restricted, Loan, Agency, Endowment Funds and the College Foundation /li li Responsible for staff development and supervision, regulatory compliance associated with certain financial aid programs and grant funded activity, ensure the accuracy of certain financial transactions, maintain the integrity of financial records and reports, perform and oversee general ledger account analysis, participate in the preparation of certain monthly and year-end financial reports /li li Work closely with the Office of Institutional Advancement, Financial Aid, Bursar, Human Resources and other key program staff responsible for managing grants /li /ul
  br SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS) br • Manage the operations of the accounting functions performed by staff accountants and other department employees. br • Analyze, audit and monitor all bank account reconciliations br • Interpret and prepare internal regulations and procedures as they relate to research (grants), financial aid programs, scholarships and foundation accounting functionality. br • Analyze and prepare monthly, quarterly, and final governmental financial reports. br • Provide leadership, direction and guidance to direct reports. br • Prepare and assist in the year-end financial reporting; analyze and prepare reports of financial data relating to the performance of federal grants and financial aid programs. br • Provide and perform ongoing analytical and financial support services to the Controller. br • Assist with audit questions and reports; provide assistance to auditors with respect to audits; maintaining the financial records in accordance with auditing standards. br • Maximize the effectiveness of the financial support system as it relates to assigned areas of responsibilities. br • Ensure compliance with internal control requirements. br • Ensure regulatory compliance with external grant funding agencies. br • Maintain related financial records and reports in accordance with GASB requirements. br • Coordinate the preparation of Circular OMB A-133 SEFA. br • Develop and administer grant budgets, Student Activities/Athletics and Foundation budgets. br • Assist financial managers and directors to monitor budges and reconcile accounting activities. br • Oversee the preparation of all necessary supporting schedules to submit the College Foundation IRS Form 990 to the external auditor. br • Implement Quarterly Effort Certificate Report for all Federal Grants. br • Ensure timely cash requests and returns for all Title IV funded programs including documentation to satisfy federal requirements. br   br QUALIFICATIONS: br • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required.
