JOB DESCRIPTIONspan B Accounting Manager /B br br A small consumer electronics company in San Francisco is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager. The qualified consultant will assist in daily accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and assistance with financial planning and analysis functions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, who is ready to take initiative and can confidently lead a team. br br B Primary Responsibilities: /B br ul
li Supervise operational accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close. /li li Prepare monthly account reconciliations and research any discrepancies. /li li Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. /li li Lead the monthly close process: review journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. /li li Assess implications of new accounting standards on accounting organization and work on associated projects to implement. /li li Assist with budget variance analysis, and process accounts payable. /li li Establish annual goals and objectives for direct reports and analyze department workflow to develop more efficient procedures. /li li Assist in structuring transactions to maximize operating and accounting goals. /li /ul
br B Requirements: /B br ul
li Hands-on GL Manager with experience in daily accounting operations. /li li NetSuite experience is a plus. /li li Proficient in Microsoft Excel. /li li Effective at multitasking and managing multiple projects. /li li Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field. /li li CPA preferred but not required. /li /ul
