JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY I have a trade association client in Arlington that is metro accessible seeking an Accounting Manager with nonprofit background to join their dynamic organization (will consider someone out of public accounting too). The ideal professional will work with the Controller and supervise a Junior Accountant to perform a variety of duties and functions including being responsible for overseeing daily operations, month-end/year-end related processes and duties, financial statement preparation, journal entries, analyses, reconciliations, fixed assets, cash management and forecasting, merchant accounts and credit card refunds, sales and property taxreports and returns, and other job related duties as assigned and special projects.
Background & educational requirements:
BS/BA in Accounting/related discipline and/or related graduate degree (e.g. Masters in in Accounting, MBA)
Actively licensed CPApreferred although not required
At least 5 or more years of relevant/related experience
Strong MS Excel skills and knowledge of macros and other complex functions a plus
Experience with iMIS AMS system and/or Sage 100 ERP (previously MAS 90) preferred
A plus is if the CPA/professional has had training and experience working in public accounting with a focus on non-profits.
