JOB DESCRIPTIONspan B Accounting Specialist Job in Jacksonville, FL /B br br A nationwide company is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their Jacksonville, FL branch. This position will have a primary focus on accounts receivable but will also include accounts payable, general ledger and some basic HR functions. li Receives cash or checks and completes credit card charge transactions on a daily basis /li li Prepares daily cash deposits and fills our cash flow sheet daily /li li Enters finalized cash receipts and updates general ledger /li li Completes disbursement and bank reconciliation reports /li li Prepares invoices, listing items sold, amounts due and credit terms /li li Prepares credit memorandums to indicate returned or incorrectly billed services /li li Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment, charge backs, returns and bad checks /li li Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up /li li Assists Accounts Payable team in order to be a backup for critical functions in the area /li li Work with the HR department in processing new hire onboarding process and other duties as needed /li /ul
br B Requirements /B br ul
li 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable experience /li li General knowledge of accounting functions (Accounts Payable, General Ledger, etc…) /li li Proficient with Excel and the ability to quickly learn new systems /li li Additional experience in onboarding and benefits a plus /li li Excellent multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize assignments efficiently /li li Positive attitude and team mentality /li /ul
