JOB DESCRIPTIONThis Accounts Payable/Receivable Position Features: - Pay up to 60K - Great company with awesome opportunity for growth - Great culture and benefits - Payroll experience a MUST! - QuickBooks or Great Plains experience a MUST! - Knowledge of accounting principles and fixed assets a MUST! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform high-volume credit card transactions (300 plus) that require identification and categorization. - Position requires entering 150 invoices a month and check runs (as needed). - Process high-volume payroll for multiple locations - Maintaining 1099 information. - Process inventory and expense invoices for payment in timely manner. - Seek approval for all expense invoices by interfacing with department managers. - Verify and match incoming invoices and receive documents for preparation of payment, resolve discrepancies and make corrections as needed. - Ensure accuracy of account codes to invoices. - Answer inquiries from vendors relating to payment status. - Various reports - File all payable & receivable documents (as needed). - Complete other projects as needed to support Accounting department. Skills and Qualifications: - Knowledge of general accounting principles and be familiar with fixed assets. - Excellent verbal communication skills, good phone skills. - Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. - Ability to follow up on pending issues and meet deadlines. - Must be computer literate i.e. accounting software, MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook. - Experience with QuickBooks or Great Plains preferred and experience with Oracle and/or Netsuite software helpful, but not required. - Ability to interact with customers, vendors and all levels of personnel in a professional manner. - Maintain highest level of professionalism under pressure. - Ability to use independent judgment when needed. - Typing ability and use 10 key by touch helpful. - Ability to work in a high volume and fast paced environment. - Bachelors Degree preferred. Associates Degree in Accounting and/or a minimum of five years accounts payable/receivable experience.
