Balances and posts cash to clients accounts and invoices. Ensures all cash is posted to accounts receivable and balanced to cash received from the fiscal intermediary. Examines cash reports and identifies errors.
Balances and posts cash day received, including wire transfers, e-checks, and credit cards, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensures appropriate reimbursement
Researches any cash application problems, and takes corrective action
Interacts with supervisors and co-workers in assuring data is accurate and submitted in accordance with processing deadlines
Provides and reviews statistical information relating to payments received
Participates in special projects and performs other duties including preparing deposits and taking deposits to the bank as required
Identifies cash remittances by system categories and contacts branches or organizations when needed to determine application
Key checks into computer database, verifying all checks were received. Prepares notice of items that cannot be applied to a specific invoice. Researches and supplies back-up information
May create check requests in order to move money to correct entity or process refund to payors
Balances month end reports with ESI Finance
HS degree (or equivalent experience)
Preferred 3-5 years in healthcare or banking
Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and writing
Ability to review data and recognize trends
