We are seeking a talented actuary to join the Life Insurance Division. As part of the Modeling Team, you will be responsible for updating assumptions inputs and running financial projections on MG-ALFA actuarial modeling system. You will also be involved in implementing and enhancing other tools and spreadsheets. You must be comfortable communicating your results to management and other stakeholders at all levels within the Division.
-Participate in financial projection projects supporting the Division’s annual planning and long-term profitability management, GAAP reporting, sales illustration compliance, asset / liability management and ad hoc business decisions.
-Perform model validation.
-Install, enhance and maintain financial projection capabilities for the Division’s products on MG-ALFA actuarial modeling systems, spreadsheets, and other support software.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
-Solid modeling experience in MG-ALFA.
-Solid programming experience. VBA and SQL are preferred but not required.
-Exposure to individual life insurance product features and mechanics
- 2+ Society of Actuaries exams.
- Good oral / written communication skills.
*The level of the position can be higher depending on candidate experience.
