Christiana Care Health System has a fulfilling career opportunity for a BE/BC fellowship trained Addictions Psychiatrist to lead a clinical team dedicated to providing prevention, screening, intervention and treatment for substance abuse and addiction patients with co-occurring mental health disorders. The clinical team includes two therapists and a case manager who will work out of our outpatient location that will be located in the newly renovated and expanded Wilmington campus by January 1, 2017, located in Wilmington, Delaware.
The Addictions Psychiatrist will also treat ambulatory adult psychiatric patients referred by inpatient psychiatric units and hospitals, private practices in the community, and Primary Care and Specialty Care sites within the Medical Group of Christiana Care. The psychiatrists function as highly specialized consultants, and manage the most complex issues of mental illness and addiction.
To apply, candidates must be BE/BC in Addiction Psychiatry and Suboxone certified. Candidates must also be experienced and/or interested in teaching as the Department of Psychiatry is starting a psychiatry residency program in conjunction with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University starting July 2018.
