JOB DUTIES:

Provides administrative and clerical support for Rehabilitation Services. Major duties include processing new and return patient information, registering and scheduling patients, and processes patient payments. High call volume for scheduling in call center.



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Administrative Functions: Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems including scheduling and registration (prefer EPIC experience). Working knowledge of payer billing requirements, on-line billing system, and CPT-4, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for Rehabilitation Services. Working knowledge of Word, and Excel.

Skill in working in distracting and pressured environments with flexibility, good concentration, and minimal supervision. Skill in setting priorities with fluctuating demands and workloads.

Working knowledge of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and prosthetics and orthotics treatments and terminology. Ability to understand documents such as intake forms, therapist or patient written instructions, and hospital guidelines written in standard English text. Ability to proofread written material for spelling and grammar. Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Skill in making appropriate and effective decisions based on needs of the customer, priorities of the department, and Health System and Department Policies and Procedures.
