JOB DESCRIPTIONAdministrative Assistant with 2 years of experience working for a CPA or Financial Services Company.
Will work in both the tax and audit departments.
The job is diversified and you will not be bored! There are many different responsibilities and we?re looking for someone who will be flexible and happy to wear many different hats.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Point person for all outgoing/incoming mail pick up and distribution
Proof letters and documents for staff and partners
Call Pitney Bowes and Xerox as needed
Primary back-up for the reception desk and be the primary point person for all incoming calls and guests arriving at the office
Be the point person to make sure our kitchen is stocked and tidy
Other administrative tasks as requested by the Office Manager
Other special projects and responsibilities as needed
Update Project Tracking status in Practice Management
Ready tax returns to upload to the Firm secure portal for client access
Scan client documents and work papers for the tax department
Enter and update tax information into CCH Practice Management
Help assemble tax returns & send completed tax returns out
Create audit files and keep them up to date as well as assisting with tax files
Assist as the back-up to proof and foot all Financial Statements
Assist with binding and mailing Financial Statements
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Email. Prior experience working in an accounting firm or a professional services firm is preferred.
