JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Administrative Specialist: This position will be responsible for the project management and oversight of the complex and diverse administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of the assigned Section.
30% Coordinates complex domestic and international patients, physicians and other professionals travel and meeting logistics. Manages special projects as assigned. Insure that patient insurance including approvals, reconciliations, cash patients, self-pay patients that cannot come to UCM are processed efficiently and on time.
20% Scheduling for multiple surgical sites within UCM including offsite surgical centers. Partners closely with referring physicians, surgery scheduling, billing, and other administrators to insure seamless processes for patients and physicians.
20% Academic / research related development for the Section, which includes data analysis and interpretation. Researches, compiles, analyzes and makes recommendations based on the data for practice development including the development of reports and proposals.
10% Complete follow-up and referral physician management, internal and external (to Department) and a national and international database management.
10% Serve as a liaison to the University community regarding administrative issues such as finances and communications.
10% Collects deposits and reconciles payments for specialty practice. Other duties as assigned.
