Advanced Practice Nurse ��" Oncology ��" APN - NP

Resurrection Health Care is looking for an Advanced Practice Nurse ��" Oncology to join our team at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center is located in Chicago�� s Wicker Park / Bucktown neighborhood.

Responsibilities of Advanced Practice Nurse ��" Oncology

-APN incorporates the carative factors of human care and performs established procedures in accordance with the organization�� s and the nursing division policies, procedures and standards of care.
-Works within a multidisciplinary cancer team as a patient advocate, care provider, educator, counselor and facilitator.
-APN possesses a comprehensive knowledge base of the pathophysiology of cancer treatment, modalities, disease progression and systems.
-Coordinates family involvement in the assessment/treatment and continuing care of the patient and delegates tasks to competent and appropriate caregivers to ensure care across the continuum.
-APN works in liaison with Nurse Manager, Ambulatory Services to ensure appropriate staffing and support of patients receiving care at SMEMC Outpatient Oncology Center
-Assists Director, Ambulatory services in identifying business development, patient acquisition and retention initiatives by educating patients about internal specialists and clinical options for RHC to become the preferred provider for cancer care.
-Ensures delivery of patient and family centered care doe oncology services; regularly reviews satisfaction surveys/comments, develops action plans and follow up with appropriate stakeholders.
-APN Coordinates medical center involvement in cancer research.
