Job Description

Summary: This position requires an
individual to use a combination of
mechanical intuition, education and
experience to solve complex engineering
problems, develop new designs and
improve current designs in the aspects of
reduced cost, improved performance and
aesthetic values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be
assigned. Reasonable accommodations

Analyzes research data and proposed
product specifications to determine
feasibility of product proposal.

Confers with research personnel to clarify
or resolve problems and develops design.

Uses advanced computer assisted
engineering and design software and
equipment to perform engineering and
design tasks.

Prepares or directs preparation of product
or system layout and detailed drawings and
schematics.

Directs and coordinates manufacturing in
the building of prototypes, parts and
assemblies; directs and/or coordinates
designers and draft persons as needed.

Plans and develops experimental test
programs as required.

Analyzes product test data and reports to
determine if design meets functional and
performance specifications.

Participates in and is supportive of Six
Sigma / DFSS processes.
Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an
individual should have knowledge in MS
Office, ANSYS Workbench + CFX,
UG/NX/Team Center Cad Software,
AutoCad, and SAP software.

Education/Experience:

Bachelors degree required, (MSME
preferred) plus a minimum of eight (8)
years job related experience and/or
training.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to sit; use
hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or
hear. The employee is occasionally
required to stand and walk. The employee
must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
and ability to adjust focus.
