AEgis is seeking highly qualified Advanced Missile Development Engineers on multiple Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) programs. Candidate will evaluate project traceability to objectives outlined in capabilities and concept of operations document and ensure studies, tests, demonstrations, and experiments are executed IAW these documents. Provide liaison services by working with working Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), monitoring technical performance and progress towards overall program capability goals, and recommending corrective actions. Candidate will also prepare and manage program schedules, identify potential conflicts, and propose mitigating steps to correct or avoid conflicts. Candidate will also assess program s mission assurance data and processes for technical sufficiency and identify system capability needs/gaps and identify solutions to address those needs/gaps in terms of quantifiable parameters required for meeting mission requirements, sustainment requirements and affordability. Candidate will analyze advanced program and technology insertion plans and evaluate the impacts on current and future technologies, markets, concepts and architectures.
Success Factors (Success factors are simply the results we want this person to deliver, in order for us to consider this person a successful hire):
30 days: Candidate will successfully complete in processing of all secure related activities resulting in access to Gov t resources.
60 days: Candidate will become familiar with program and project processes and procedures and understand key issues, needs, and gaps and identify solutions to mitigate risk and impact.
90 days: Candidate will have proactive response in addressing program/project needs/gaps.
Multiple positions are available. Candidate will have a minimum of a Master s degree in an Engineering field or related discipline and MS Engineering degree (or equivalent) and 2-10+ yrs experience in RDT&E, systems engineering, and/or program management. Some positions require 10+ years experience. Familiarity with Conventional Prompt Global Strike (CPGS) is desirable. Candidate must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. Current SSBI desirable. Detail oriented with strong analytical skills; detailed knowledge of AF Space and Missiles Center (SMC) processes, organizations, and missions. Extremely organized. Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability to be part of a cohesive team and deliver the highest quality service. Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
