Position Summary
The Advanced Services Engineer works directly with the Professional Services Implementation team to provide technical support and leadership for the design, installation, configuration, and testing of Stanley Healthcare solutions. This support includes establishing best practices and methodologies, developing test procedures, consultation for advanced configurations, assistance with troubleshooting, and delivering technical training. In addition to support for revenue generating activities, this position also performs field evaluation and testing of beta products and assists with preparing for product launch. The Advanced Services Engineer also serves as a conduit link between Product Development and Professional Services and is an integral part of new solution development and continuous product improvement.

Responsibilities

Develop and document comprehensive system test plans and best practices
*

Provide technical support for implementation problems, both remotely and in the field
*

Participate in new product introduction teams for beta evaluation and testing
*

Serve as the technical lead for beta product testing at customer sites and provide feedback to the product team
*

Establish technical expertise for all newly released Stanley Healthcare products and solutions
*

Develop expert level competencies for the full suite of products and solutions
*

Review and provide feedback for product documentation and processes
*

Prepare the Implementation team for new product launches with a complete technical documentation set and training deliverables, both in a classroom setting and in the field
*

Collect feedback from the field on ease of deployment needs and provide product feedback to the Product Development team

Required Skills & Experience


*

BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
*

2+ years of experience implementing and supporting RTLS solutions is preferred
*

4 - 6 years total experience as a Support/Solution/Field/Sales Engineer. Enterprise technology experience is preferred.
*

Demonstrated experience in Wi-Fi and RF technologies
*

Knowledge of server infrastructure, databases, Ethernet networking, and VMware
*

Hands on experience installing, configuring and testing software and hardware.
*

Experience with evaluating and troubleshooting new hardware and software releases and interacting with a product development team
*

Independent learner with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
*

Ability to develop and document detailed written test procedures and presentations.
*

Advanced customer interaction skills to identify requirements and translate them into solution designs
*

MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio) experience preferred
*

Certifications such as CCNA, CWNA, or MCSE are desirable

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
*

May be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time across a Customer campus
*

May be required to climb/stand on ladders for a period of time. * Required to have close visual perception to perform activities such as viewing computer monitors, preparing and analyzing data and figures, extensive reading, and visual inspections involving detailed drawings.

* Travel requirements: Up to 50%, mostly domestic. Must have valid driver s license and passport.
