Responsible for managing the affirmative action program ensuring all diversity, affirmative action, and equal opportunity programs are proactive and in compliance for the organization. The Affirmative Action Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) regulations.
Essential Duties (not necessarily in order of importance):
Provide expert consultation, guidance, technical assistance and compliance support to management, branch office personnel, customers and associate suppliers in the area of affirmative action;
Provide training and tools for the various affirmative action programs within the organization;
Remain current of laws and regulations of OFCCP, federal and state EEO laws and regulations, and Affirmative Action practices and trends;
Assist with developing, implementing and monitoring programs and best practices that promote equal employment opportunity hiring;
Work cooperatively with branch office personnel to initiate action-oriented programs and good faith effort outreach to improve recruitment and retention in the area of affirmative action and diversity;
Identify ways to systematically collect recruitment and other data accurately and efficiently;
Prepare and file EEO-1 and VETS 100A reports on a yearly basis;
Prepare customer reports as needed (e.g., workforce analysis, Internet Applicant, EEO, etc.);
Create Affirmative Action Plans accurately and in a timely manner;
Conduct compensation and adverse impact analysis;
Create and manage internal and associate supplier Affirmative Action audits to ensure compliance with appropriate federal and state regulations;
Track and monitor and report progress of goals established by the Affirmative Action Program and communicate these goals to branch office personnel and management, training where necessary;
Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resources data confidential.
May also be responsible to train, mentor and supervise other staff;
Comply and adhere to all ISO policies and procedures;
Submit periodic reports to management as requested;
Responsible for various other administrative duties as directed by Company.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area;
1 year of experience in a position responsible for OFCCP/EEO planning and compliance;
1 year of experience with preparing EEO-1, VETS 100A and/or OFCCP audits;
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Must have ability to travel domestically for on-site audits, as necessary.
Broad knowledge of Affirmative Action plans, EEO and OFCCP rules and regulations;
Proficient in MS Word and Excel and have a good aptitude for mathematics
Detail-oriented; have excellent communication skills;
Be proficient in verbal, written and presentation/training scenarios;
Organized and sensitive and respectful to the protocol regarding confidential employee and company information.
