Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history\.The Flight Sciences Organization within the Aerospace Systems Engineering and Global Product Development \(E&GPD\) organization has multiple openings for qualified applicants in the areas of Aircraft Design & Analysis\.In this role the, the candidate will be part of a dynamic team supporting advanced concept and preliminary design of aircraft by performing configuration analysis, design, test, and integration of advanced aerospace vehicles as part of a multi\-disciplinary team\. They will work with and learn from experienced engineers to perform aerodynamics design and analysis, inlet and nozzle design and analysis, engine performance and integration, multi\-disciplinary analysis and optimization \(MDAO\) and vehicle sizing and performance assessments\. In this process, they will use a range of methods including computational fluid dynamics \(CFD\) and wind\-tunnel testing to generate aerodynamics and propulsion database and the overall air vehicle design\. They will develop drawings, graphics, and technical reports to support the design, manufacture, and testing of new aerospace vehicles\.Successful candidates will be self\-starting engineers able to perform duties without appreciable direction, or only under consulted direction toward long\-range goals, capable of mentoring junior engineers, developing estimates & schedules, leading ground\-based development test efforts, and leading technical teams engaged in above activities\.Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field from an accredited university+ 0\-6 years of direct experience in an industry related field+ U\.S\. citizenship is required+ Ability to attain a U\.S\. Department of Defense \(DoD\) Security Clearance+ Proficiency with MS Office software \(Excel, Work, PowerPoint\)Preferred Qualifications:
+ A current in scope DoD Secret, Top Secret or SSBI/SCI clearance+ Broad general knowledge of air vehicle design and manufacturing techniques+ Prior experience with wind\-tunnel testing, CFD analysis, propulsion integration, inlet and nozzle design, and aircraft performance and sizing will be desirable\.Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
