The Advanced Programs Team is focused on rapid innovation of Amazon's massive network of fulfilment centers (warehouses). This team designs, implements, and launches pilot facilities to prove out new automation technologies and push the envelope of what's possible with our Robot fleet. You will be working in a close-knit, high performance, fast paced, startup environment with a group of experts ranging from research scientists, roboticists, mechanical engineers and an amazing software test and development team.
As an Amazon Robotics Software Development Engineer in Test, you will conceptualize ( and code! ) innovative techniques for automated testing of our software which controls the warehouse operations through the Robot fleet. Currently, most of our automation frameworks are built in Java or Python. You will collaborate with devs and PMs and drive clarity on requirements, deliverables, and test cases. We move fast - so you will be challenged to support the creation of testing strategies which are nimble and yet effective for business critical software.
BS/MS in Computer Science, engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience working in Java / Python
Experience with MySQL or other databases
Strong communication skills. Able to work with multiple business and development teams.
Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced environment - previous startup experience a plus
