If so, you may be the right candidate for an AMBULATORY RN 2 IN OUR PEDIATRIC SUB SPECIALTY CLINIC!

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

*

The Ambulatory RN 2 is an Illinois licensed registered nurse who actively provides supervised patient care in a pediatric sub-specialty ambulatory care setting.
*

The nurse works in a collaborative relationship with other members of the health care team to provide leadership and to coordinate the care of patients
*

Position is Days with limited weekend hours. No holidays

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*

Provide telephone triage regarding symptom assessment, information, intervention and appropriate Physician referral for patients
*

Triage and assess patients acute conditions and initiate a treatment plan
*

Call patients regarding follow-up, test results, medical instruction, and patient education
*

Acts as a liaison for patient, physician, and other team members
*

Schedules, performs, and documents nurse appointments for procedures, tests, and education in Epic.
*

Performs procedures in accordance with generally accepted standards of nursing practice
*

Administers medications, injections, and IV therapy
*

Educates patients and family members about disease process, treatment modalities, medications, home care, procedures, and follow-up recommendations
*

Oversees and directs workflow of clinical staff.
*

Assists in the maintenance and preparation for Joint Commission, IDPH, and other regulatory inspections
*

Identifies and participates in QI activities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

*

Current RN Licensure in the State of Illinois
*

BSN
*

Current CPR Certification
*

Minimum two years pediatric nursing experience in in-patient or out-patient setting
*

Pediatric oncology experience in-patient or out-patient strongly preferred
*

Basic computer skills required, EMR experience preferred
*

Good communication and interpersonal skills
*

Ability to organize, and be self-motivated
