THE ROLE IN BRIEF:
The Advisory Board currently seeks an individual to join the firm as an Analyst within the Strategic Research division. The division s work is compiled of research teams that analyze the strategic issues facing The Advisory Board Company's health care constituencies. The Data and Analytics Group is dedicated to supporting the broader research division and the firm s overall membership through quantitative analytics and the development of novel web-based tools and applications. The incumbent will play a key role in new initiatives within the division as well as enhancements to existing systems.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct Advisory Board member education on comprehensive suite of analytical resources
- Scope and generate data-oriented reports for internal and external clients
- Support research needs for Research and Insights division
- Act as content expert for comprehensive healthcare databases composed of detailed clinical, financial and operational information; create, update and query databases with Microsoft SQL Server- Collaborate with research teams to transform quantitative analyses into more customizable and user-friendly applications for members
- Support development of educational presentations around payment policy and other salient healthcare trends

This opportunity is based in Washington, D.C.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong quantitative, analytic and logical reasoning skills
- Superior oral and written communications skills
- Significant interest in working with and extracting insights from data
- Drive to consistently meet deadlines and maintain focus, even under pressure
- Unmatched service ethic for both internal and external customers
