JOB DESCRIPTION

The Analyst is responsible for review and underwriting of new and existing prospective and current client/prospects. This role involves project execution and tactical responsibilities. The Lender Finance Analyst will have exposure to the following areas:



* Loan Servicing

* Loan due diligence and risk analysis

* Presenting to the Credit Committee

* Exposure to all specializations within the Lender Finance portfolio, including ABL, container, air, consumer specialty, rail and Business Development Companies

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



* Perform under the supervision of the Lender Finance Senior Management

* Works independently on standard transactions

* Analyze Lender Finance clients, specifically finance companies

* Seeks assistance from Credit Officer & Team Leader on more complex transactions

* Ability to render decisions within established service level commitments and policy guidelines

* Ongoing credit monitoring of clients including covenant compliance, client advances and repayments and all types of financial reporting

* Analyze financial statements and ancillary commercial credit reporting documents, including; D&B, Lexis, AHD & online services

* Provide support to functional areas, to include report preparation, analytical work, routine functions, special projects, etc.

* Ability to render decisions within established service level commitments and policy guidelines

* Provide high quality data summaries for submission to Senior Credit Committee

* Assist in the execution of special projects at the request of Senior Management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS



* Review Legal Documents along with Team Leader to compare to approval covenants

* Excellent communication skills- will be communicating with obligors

* Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

* Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Ability to work with some supervision in a fast-paced, growth environment

* Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Highly detail oriented

* Self-starter

* Pro-active

* Flexible, adaptable team player

* Ability to multi-task

* An aptitude for quantitative analysis

* Ability to prepare underwriting document highlighting salient risk and mitigants of the transaction

* Possess the desire to learn leadership capabilities by working on cross-functional project teams and being responsible for several specialized projects

* There are mulitple positions open. Placement is in the Mt Laurel, NJ office.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE



* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or comparable business related degree from an accredited institution required

* Graduate degree a plus

* Experience working in commercial banking, investment banking or financial consulting a plus

* Understanding of basic accounting principles

* Ability to research both public and private companies

* Capable of assimilating large amounts of complex information quickly, suggesting process improvements and championing opportunities for change

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively

* Excellent project management, interpersonal and communication skills

* Demonstrated leadership experience in business or through internships, academic projects, student organizations or extracurricular activities is strongly preferred

* Capability of assuming a leadership role once the skills and experience in one or more areas of Lender Finance are developed.
