Job Description

Superior Group is seeking an Analyst for our client in Plano, TX 75024.

Job Description:
The Analyst will be an active member of our client's Plano team, and will be assigned to one of their Fortune 100 Clients. As an analyst, the candidate will be responsible for supporting efforts to complete various project stages.

Turning Data into Insights:

Organizing and preparing data from various sources
Exploring, mining and transforming data to build pre-modeling hypotheses
Creating quantitative models to accurately measure the impact of various marketing tactics and pricing effects
Converting brand-level findings into an actionable portfolio-level narrative
Creating/Giving presentations and communicating implications to external stakeholders

Project Flow:

Work with client analytics and insights team to determine project timelines and milestones.
Familiarize self with scope of engagement, and provide guidance to keep projects within scope and/or clarify when additional resources may be necessary.
Lead collection and organization of all ad hoc data sources. Interface with client and agency sources to ensure prompt delivery of all data required for analytics.
Work with analytics team to validate PGD results, develop quarterly* reports, and create implications/recommendations.
Review final presentation decks for clarity of communication, actionability, flow, audience appropriateness, and comprehensiveness in addressing work objectives.
Own share-out/presentations, usually refreshers or to specific brand or functional teams, once initial share out to brand and executive teams is complete.

Secondary Responsibilities:
Relationship Building:

Build relationships across client organization, primarily with Insights team, but also with marketing, finance and agency teams.
Develop on-going and up to date understanding of client’s current marketing plans, business challenges and motivations.
Identify opportunities to address client analytic needs with our client's services.
Act as an advocate for the client – communicate client position on technical matters and projects.
Handle ad hoc client questions “post analysis” – application of historical analyses to current questions, as well as meta analysis derived from results of past projects.
Ensure that clients use metrics appropriately and that results do not get misinterpreted or misconstrued as they travel.

Required Technical Skills
Candidates must display a high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and preferably some experience using a statistical software suite, such as SPSS, SAS, R or similar package.

The ideal candidate is personable, conscientious and takes full ownership of his or her assignments. This candidate naturally takes the initiative to facilitate and streamline the tasks necessary for successful project completion. He or she is highly motivated and able to work well both independently and as a member of a team. As in all quantitative fields, a strong attention to detail is essential, especially when communicating with clients.
Successful candidates will have a strong background of academic and professional achievement. Strong written and verbal communication skills are vital.
Required Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree is required
Minimum of 1 year of data analysis experience
Advanced to expert in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of SPSS, SAS, or R
