ANALYST, PRODUCT SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS - THE WOODLANDS

Immediate opening for a dynamic individual with proven capability as a/an Analyst, Product Safety Communications for the EHS Division located The Woodlands,Texas. Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

With no/minimal supervision and much decision-making:

To be responsible for providing an advanced level of support

addressing issues that are escalated by Advisors and Senior Advisors,

to interpret these issues and provide counseling and advice to

ensure timely business resolution. To act as a point of contact for

all businesses globally to identify and propose effective solutions.

To be responsible to identify deficiencies in SDSs and labels by

performing self-audits, analyze root cause issues, propose and

implement corrective actions. To liaise with other PEHS functions to carry out in depth impact analysis. To communicate impacts to relevant business departments and functions and recommend appropriate preventive or corrective

actions. Guide the Advisors and Senior Advisors in communicating with

businesses and ensure all the targeted stakeholders have full

knowledge and understanding of the impact of classification changes,

SDSs and labels with agreeing to take necessary actions.

Actively follow regulatory changes and participate as necessary in

lobbying activities and liaise with government officials to influence

regulatory changes. To provide advanced GHS classification, SDS and labeling training to internal (PSC Advisors, Senior Advisors, Businesses) and external

stakeholders (customers).

General Responsibilities:

Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by

supervisor.

Assists other employees in accomplishment of company goals.

Participates in and completes company-required training programs.

Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set

forth by the company.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Science / Engineering with 10+ years specific

experience or Advanced Technical Degree with 5-8 years of

professional experience preferably in an international industrial

company.

Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.):

At least 10 years of experience in a PEHS role. Previous experience

preferably in R&D, product management or EHS professionalism.

Expert knowledge of product safety communication regulations (i.e.

GHS) and comprehensive knowledge of chemical control legislations

Expert knowledge on Dangerous Goods transport classification

Excellent IT skills (i.e. EXCEL) and solid working knowledge of SAP

EHS

Good understanding of chemical processes and products

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Superior skills in English and business writing are essential

Comfortable working with different cultures and multiple time zones

Occasional travel may be required
