AmeriPath, a Quest Diagnostics Company, is one of the leading anatomic pathology practices in the United States offering a broad range of testing and information services used by physicians in the detection, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of cancer and other diseases and medical conditions. AmeriPath's extensive diagnostics infrastructure includes over 400 pathologists and doctorate-level scientists providing services in over 40 independent pathology laboratories and in more than 200 hospitals across the US.

The Analyst, Programmer Sr position is a senior billing programmer within the Billing IT group which supports the implementation and support of laboratory billing information systems. This position is responsible for design, development, implementing, and technical support in all applications used for billing based on GE Healthcare's Centricity Business software package. The successful candidate will have experience working as a billing programmer analyst with GE Centricity laboratory/hospital billing application experience, knowledgeable in laboratory billing procedures/practices, able to document, and communicate well with users.

Key Responsibilities:
* Analyzes, designs, codes, installs, tests, maintains, documents, and provides technical support for billing system software
* Modifies existing and create new system software for specific enterprise needs.
* Develops applications for internal and external customers.
* Works with corporate technology team to define application scope and objectives.
* Prepares functional and/or technical specifications from which programs will be written.
* Participates in technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of enhancements.
* Assists in maintaining systems documentation.
* Works with clients in support of projects.
* Coordinates enterprise software issues with external organizations where appropriate.
* Conducts themselves in a professional manner.
* Understand and embrace the mission and goals of the company. Take ownership and enthusiastically undertake your job.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education:
* Minimum of 8 years of working experience within the IT department in a healthcare billing organization
* Minimum of 5 years of solid working experience with GE Centricity Business core modules: Transaction Editing System, Billing and Accounts Receivable , EDI Toolkit and Enterprise Task Manager
* Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in the form of project management, team leadership. Individual must have leadership ability, be able to complete goals without close supervision, and have strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills to set and accomplish goals.
* Expert level Mumps/Cache programming skills
* Familiar with the AR and revenue lifecycle
* Strong problem solving skills and SDLC methodologies
* Strong written and verbal communications skills, combined with the ability to work in a dynamic environment, are critical skills for success.
