About the Position:
As a SHE Performance and Reporting Analyst, you will analyze Safety incident and injury data to provide relevant information to support the organization in planning for and managing safety decision-making at National Grid. SHE Performance and Reporting is the information trending and reporting arm of SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) responsible for US, Executive and Board level SHE reporting. We are an energetic, fast-paced environment with high visibility across all functions of National Grid.
This role will also identify, design and implement process improvements within SHE Performance and Reporting to increase efficiencies within the group in the areas of incident/injury classification, tracking/trending and reporting.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
-Review safety performance and provide analysis to Management on performance trends and areas that should be targeted for improvements.
-Develop and publish monthly enterprise-wide Safety, Health and Environmental reporting at the US and Global level.
-Deliver training to employees or departments on the online incident management system (IMS) to provide an effective, consistent approach to Safety, Health and Environmental performance reporting and improvement planning.
-Act as principal contact for the Business in areas of Safety performance analysis and reporting.
-Assist with periodic audits and to ensure the highest quality of data and reporting is maintained.
-Maintain and report regulatory information in order to ensure local, state and federal regulators and other stakeholders are kept up to date with relevant National Grid performance, policies and programs.
-Review incident information and partner with the Business to identify any anomalies or discrepancies to ensure management has access to up to date and accurate information.
-Build upon technical/professional skills within own area of specialism or of other processes in order to continually grow your personal contribution to the business.
-Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and share information that will benefit National Grid.
-Work across the Safety, Health and Environmental team to gain a wider perspective that will aid in the delivery of high quality, value-add reporting and analysis.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
-A Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or 2 years of related experience in electricity/gas operations, or equivalent work experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
-Highly proficient in report development and data mining and data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
-Detail oriented with appreciation for analytical accuracy.
-Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
-Strong ability to learn new software/analytical tools.
-Knowledge of specific US Safety regulatory data reporting and recordkeeping requirements (OSHA) a plus.
-Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle several projects simultaneously.
-Knowledge and experience in PEX methodology and continuous improvement.
-Knowledge of National Grid's business operations, company policies and practices a plus.
-Knowledge of relevant industry practice and legislation.
-Understanding of project management techniques and methods.
